I began my fitness journey in 1996, inspired by a seemingly ancient yoga book my parents had on their shelf for ages. 14 years later, I found an excellent yoga studio at which to study, a gym and personal trainer to get moving, and took my practice to the next level.  The ability to balance the body, mind, and soul learned from my teachers was a lesson simply too good to keep to myself, so my study into movement began.  Over the past few years, I have completed the Yoga Repatterning 200 RYT  and Yoga Structural Therapy programs at Vancouver Yoga Center, the Certified Personal Trainer program through NASM, and the level II kettlebell certification through StrongFirst.. The blending of yoga and resistance training education has inspired me to develop a teaching practice of movement science applicable to any fitness goal and from any ability level.

Movement quality is the foundation of my training approach.  Yoga plays a prominent role in this approach, with alignment influences from Hatha, Iyengar, and Anusara yoga.  These basic alignment principals are also applied to and highly effective in strength training using hardstyle kettlebells, barbell lifts, and body weight strength.  No matter what the goal is, I have something for everyone!

In my classes and sessions, I use a combination of creativity, humor, and discipline to inspire your personal practice.  Whether your goal is a new lift, a new pose, or a whole new you, it is my ultimate goal to help you reach yours.
